ASC and Kamp programs encourage children's growth and development in several areas. Some curriculum objectives for children include:
Emotional
- Acquire a positive self-image
- Become independent
- Identify and communicate feelings
- Respond to new challenges
- Accept reasonable authority and limitations
Physical
- Develop fine and gross motor skills through use of materials and activities
Social
- Cooperate in a group setting
- Interact with peers and staff
Intellectual
- Develop thinking skills
- Read a variety of materials
- Study and complete homework and get assistance if needed
Creative
- Explore and observe the world by free choices and planned activities
- Develop self-expression, feelings, and creativity with various activities
such as fine art and performing art projects
Spiritual
- Learn about values, character, and regard for self and others
