Welcome to the website for St. Luke's United Methodist Church After-School Care (ASC) and Summer Kids' Kamp!
Serving for approximately 42 years, St. Luke's After-School Care (ASC) and Summer Kids' Kamp are school-year and summer ministry programs of trusted, quality care for children in grades Kindergarten through 8th grades. Our programs provide children with opportunities for cognitive, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual growth through educational enrichment and study time, physical recreation and sports, fine and performing artistic expression, and individual, one-on-one, and group interactive activities. Our programs are based on Christian principles and offer fun, fellowship, and friendship to the children we serve. We serve children of all races, nationalities, and religions.
ASC and Kids' Kamp goals:
- Provide children with a secure, nurturing, supervised environment.
- Reflect an atmosphere of Christian love and understanding.
- Provide children with opportunities in emotional, intellectual, physical, social, creative, and spiritual growth and development.
- Engage children with fun, enriching,
age-appropriate activities.
Licensure and Certification:
ASC and Summer Kids' Kamp Programs are licensed by the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services and members of the National After-School Association. All staff and counselors participate in yearly staff training and professional development offered by the Houston Association for the Education of Young Children (HAEYC). All of our counselors are trained and certified in CPR and First-Aid.
